cd productionNaked Ear Recording Studio offers outstanding pricing for small runs on CD. First, you need to understand the terminology of CD production/replication. We've compiled a list of definitions that will assist you in understanding the pricing that appears below. DEFINITIONS CD : The whole thing! (Disc, Folder, Tray Card, Jewel Box, Tray & Shrink wrapping.)
JEWEL BOX : The clear plastic case that holds the disc, folder, tray & tray card. TRAY : The black or clear plastic item that holds the disc. It snaps into the inside of the jewel box & also holds the tray card in place. TRAY CARD : The printed paper card that you see when you look on the back side & edges of your CD. It sits in the jewel box & is held in place by the tray. The tray card can be printed on both sides. When you want printing on the both sides of the tray card, we use a clear tray so that you can see the printing. SIMPLE TEXT PRINT ON THE DISC : Only text printing is allowed on the disc. FULL COVERAGE PRINT ON THE DISC : Ink is printed on the whole surface of the disc to provide a full color disc with text & pictures. 2 PAGE FOLDER : A paper 5" X 5" card with full color edge to edge printing on both sides of the paper. It is the part you see when looking at the front of the CD & when you open the CD & look on the left hand side. 4 PAGE FOLDER : A paper 5" X 10" card with full color edge to edge printing on both sides of the paper. $30.00 per hour / to be paid at the end of each session day or as stated by contract. Price includes use of everything on the equipment list, at the studio location only, plus sound/video engineer. Pricing is the same for live recording and mixdown, mastering and other services. Some charges for consumables (take-home CDs, DVDs, backup copies and tape) apply.
